Copy Walls to Other Levels (Per-Floor Wall Strategy)

1. In a Floor Plan (e.g. Level 0), select all walls you want to replicate to other floors.
2. Press Ctrl+C to copy.
3. Click Paste → Align to Selected Levels.
4. In the dialog:
   • Select the Levels where the copied walls should appear (e.g. Level 1 to Level 6).
   • Click OK.
5. Revit creates copies of those walls on each selected Level, maintaining their relative position.
6. In Elevation or 3D:
   • Select the walls on each Level and set their Top Constraint to the Level above (e.g. Level 1 walls top = Level 2).
7. If Level heights change, the walls adapt automatically.

Optional – Duplicate Wall at Same Location for Type Changes

1. Select a wall.
2. Press Ctrl+C.
3. Click Paste → Aligned to Same Place.
4. You now have two walls on top of each other:
   • Change the Type of one wall (e.g. to a different build-up).
   • Adjust height or constraints to create a vertical segmentation of different wall types.

Note

• This is a fast way to create vertical wall transitions (e.g. different materials above/below a slab).
