Troubleshoot Dashed/Segmented Lines in PDF Exports

Fix dashed lines that export segmented or wrong in PDFs.

  1. If continuous lines appear dashed in exported PDFs:
    • Suspect print/export resolution or PDF viewer rendering, not the model line style.
  2. Test via print driver:
    1. Use Ctrl + P (Print) rather than only Export PDF.
    2. Select a PDF printer (e.g., Adobe PDF).
  3. Adjust printer settings:
    1. Open Properties → locate PDF settings / quality.
    2. Set resolution to 300 DPI (often sufficient and more stable than 600 DPI on weaker machines).
  4. If shadows force raster output:
    • Disabling shadows can keep output vector-like and reduce artifacts.
  5. If licensing limits a built-in PDF driver:
    • Install a reliable PDF printer (e.g., the referenced “Bull Zip PDF”) and retry.
