Create and Apply a View Template for Sections
A section view template created and applied across the set.
- Finalize one “good” section view first (lineweights, cut fills, depth, visibility).
- In that view, go to View Template (in Properties):
- If it’s None, you can still create a template from the current view.
- Create the template:
- View Template dropdown → Show Views (or manage templates).
- Select your finished section view.
- Click Duplicate and name it clearly (e.g.,
Section_Template).
- Apply the template:
- Open another section → View Template → choose
Section_Template.
- Open another section → View Template → choose
- Apply to multiple views quickly:
- In the Project Browser, multi-select several sections (use Shift/Ctrl).
- Apply the same View Template so they update consistently.
Tip: Some items (like materials) may not “fix themselves” through templates unless you override visibility/graphics in the template. Prefer correcting materials at the source when possible.
