Coordinate 0,0 Between Rhino and Revit

1. In Rhino:
   1. Decide on a project origin (0,0).
   2. Move your model so that the key point (e.g. main building corner) is at 0,0,0:
      • Select the geometry.
      • Use Move.
      • Pick the base point on the model.
      • Type 0,0,0 and press Enter.
2. In Revit:
   1. Turn on hidden elements with the light bulb (Reveal Hidden Elements) at the bottom of the view.
   2. Locate the Project Base Point (circle with a cross).
   3. This is Revit’s internal project origin.
3. When linking from Rhino/CAD:
   1. Use Insert → Link CAD / Link SAT.
   2. Set Positioning to Origin to Internal Origin.
   3. Because both Rhino and Revit are aligned at (0,0), the geometry lands correctly.
4. Communicate this shared origin to all consultants:
   • Structural, MEP, and landscape teams should all align their models to the same project base point or CAD origin.

Note: A single agreed origin saves huge amounts of time and avoids manually shifting models after every update.
