Cleaning Context Geometry Before Revit Import

Strip and heal messy context geometry before it ever reaches Revit.

  1. In Rhino:
    • Explode complex blocks.
    • Delete curves/surfaces not needed.
    • Keep only clean solids.
  2. Export as .SAT (preferred) or .DWG.
  3. Insert into Revit via Insert > Import CAD / Import SAT.
  4. If the file imports empty:
    • Check for extremely large coordinate values.
    • Move geometry to origin (0,0,0) before exporting.
