About BIM Health Check·Audit an IFC export before you send it out.
What BIM Health Check does
Drop in an IFC exported from Revit, ArchiCAD or another BIM tool and get a consultant-style audit: mis-classification, missing data, spatial-structure problems and geometry defects. Each finding is graded pass, watch or flag and highlighted on the model in 3D. The file is read in your browser and never uploaded.
- Input:
- .ifc (IFC 2x3 / IFC4)
- Output:
- Health score + scored findings
- Runs:
- In your browser
How it works
The model is read in your browser against a fixed catalogue of checks, one result per element where a check points at specific geometry. Nothing is sent anywhere, so you can audit a client's model without it leaving the machine.
- The IFC is parsed and checked locally; there is no server round trip and no upload.
- Each check returns one finding — pass, watch or flag — with the elements that caused it.
- Findings roll up into a score per category and an overall grade.
- Load a fixed file again and the same model gives the same result.
How to use it
- Load an IFC. Drop an IFC (IFC 2x3 or IFC4) exported from your BIM tool, or browse for one from the start panel.
- Read the score and findings. The right pane shows an overall grade, per-category scores and every finding, grouped by category with its status.
- Find the problem in 3D. Click a finding to isolate its elements in the viewer; click any element to open its card.
- Filter the view. Use Color by (Status, Category, Layers), the check-category toggles and the Layers list to focus the model.
- Export the audit. Download the PDF report, or the findings CSV on the paid tiers.
- Fix and re-export. Correct the model in your BIM tool, export again and drop it back in to confirm.
Best used for
- Checking a model before you issue it to a consultant or client.
- Catching classification and missing-data gaps that would come back as RFIs.
- Jumping straight to the elements behind a finding in 3D.
- Re-auditing after a fix to confirm it is actually gone.
Not a substitute for
- A compliance sign-off or a substitute for a coordinated BIM audit.
- Reading a native Revit or ArchiCAD file — export to IFC first.
- Clash detection between disciplines.
Known limits
- Only IFC is accepted; the audit is only as good as the export.
- A finding points at elements to review, not at a guaranteed defect.
- Very large files can pause the page while they parse.
